“Do you believe in God, Iqbal? “-Ravi asked with utter curiosity in his gloomy eyes.
Iqbal, being 3 years senior to him, pretends to look wise with extraordinary knowledge in front of Ravi.
This is a small claustrophobic slum, away from the cacophony of Metropolitan roads. Here one can easily listen to the music of sea waves. The sands are getting washed away like those dreams and hopes of a broken soul. Day and night, the same game repeats. Amidst such a playful scenario, the sky witnesses two youths having a serious spiritual discussion. Sometimes, the argument about the existence of Allah and Bhagwaan made them look like old Nabi and first-class Brahmin. It was something different in his words today which surprised Iqbal a bit. Everyday, the discussion hangs around Allah and Bhagwaan, but today, Ravi generalised them as Almighty “God”. Iqbal stood up with his eyes in the sky far away as he was examining the validity of this so called creature called God.
“Say na, Iqbal bhaijaan. “- emotional explore of 15 year old Hindu Brahmin boy increased.
“Don’t know, leave me alone. “- Iqbal seemed much confused.
“Bhaijan, today is Independence Day. “- Ravi's gloomy eyes got a sudden brightness as he could hear them in his own eyes.
Iqbal laughed out loud-“Independence day, huh! Look over there, Rakesh chacha badly injured Moukil bhai for having mangoes of his tree just because he was a Muslim, hate this independence, it’s  a country where religions shed blood of each other everyday. “

Ravi now figured out what was the cause behind Iqbal ironic laughter.
He came close to Iqbal and put his hand on his shoulder. “Iqbal bhai, don’t pay heed to them, we must change ourselves for a revolt free India. “
Iqbal chuckled-“The day when moukil bhai and Rakesh chacha can be seen having a sip of tea together, will be considered as the real one with its glory. “
“The day must come Iqbal bhai, as there are people like you”- Ravi hugged him tightly as he said.
They could see the Tiranga flying with it’s glory on the roof of the local club.
